Songs, Rhymes & Fingerplays

Song: The More We Get Together

The more we get together, the happier we’ll be.
For your friends are my friends.
And my friends are your friends.

Flip the Lid: Hand Brain Model

When we feel upset, angry, or overwhelmed, it’s important to take a moment to “put our lids back on”. Some ways you can help help calm down are practicing yoga poses or other stretches, slowly counting to 10, and focusing on one thing at a time like the way your stomach moves in and out when you breath.

Movement Rhyme: Wave Goodbye
(Tune: Frère Jacques)
Goodbye friends, goodbye friends
Sing this tune, sing this tune,
It’s time to wave goodbye,
it’s time to wave goodbye
See you soon, see you soon.

Goodbye friends, goodbye friends
Close your eyes, close your eyes
Take a deep breathe in… (breathe in instead of repeating this line)
Now breathe out goodbye… (breathe out instead of repeating this line)
