Songs, Rhymes & Fingerplays

Song: The More We Get Together
The more we get together, together, together.
The more we get together, the happier we’ll be.
For your friends are my friends.
And my friends are your friends.
The more we get together, the happier we’ll be.

Song: A Fly Is On My Toes
To the Tune of: The Farmer and the Dell
A fly is on my toes, a fly is on my toes
High ho, just watch me blow
A fly is on my knee.
But now that fly is on my……..
(Knee, Elbow, Nose)
From Jbrary

Breathplay: Candle Breath
Bring your hands together in front of you, with your index fingers pointing up. Take a deep breath in, and as you blow out, gently blow out the flame in front of you without blowing it out. At the end you can pretend they’re birthday candles, blowing them all out.

Rhyme: Llama Llama
Llama, llama reach up high.
Llama, llama blink your eyes.
Llama, llama touch your toes.
Llama, llama wiggle your nose.
Llama, llama stomp and pout.
Llama, llama jump about.
Llama, llama clap your feet.
Llama, llama take a seat.

Movement Rhyme: Wave Goodbye
(Tune: Frère Jacques)
Goodbye friends, goodbye friends
Sing this tune, sing this tune,
It’s time to wave goodbye,
it’s time to wave goodbye
See you soon, see you soon.

Goodbye friends, goodbye friends
Close your eyes, close your eyes
Take a deep breathe in… (breathe in instead of repeating this line)
Now breathe out goodbye… (breathe out instead of repeating this line)
