Welcome Song
(We sing this song using ASL sign language)
Hello friends, hello friends, hello friends,
It’s time, to say, hello.
Shirt Song
Every child is invited to come up and choose a felt shirt to put on our felt board. While they do this, we will sing this song:
[Name] has a [color] shirt, a [color] shirt, a [color] shirt,
[name] has a [color] shirt, and she’s/he’s here today!
Scarf Song
Everybody will get a scarf to dance around to this song. We repeat the song a couple of times hiding the scarves in various locations (behind our backs, under our carpet circles, wherever the child wants to hide it).
One bright scarf waiting for the wind to blow.
Wiggle it high and wiggle it low,
Shake it fast and shake it slow.
Where did it go?
Ending Song
It’s time to say goodbye to our friends (clap, clap)
It’s time to say goodbye to our friends (clap, clap)
Storytime is done today,
So come again another day
It’s time to say goodbye to our friends (clap clap)
Playtime
This week I set out kinetic sand, building blocks, balance beam, a parachute, and a texture station with cooked and dry spaghetti.
