Songs & Rhymes

Rhymes & Songs:

Color Dragons

Red Dragon,
Green dragon,
Grey Dragon,
Blue…

Orange dragon,
Teal dragon,
Purple dragon,
too!

How many dragons do we see?
Count them now along with me,

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7,

Seven bright dragons fly in the heavens.

The Dragon Dance

Dragon, dragon,
Darting dragon,
Dancing through the town.
Dragon, dragon,
Dashing dragon,
Dipping up and down.
Dragon, dragon,
Bright and bold,
Flame red eyes
Scales of gold.
Dragon whirling,
Dragon swirling,
Curling, twirling
Sit back down

Song:

(tune of Grand Old Duke of York)

Oh, a dragon is very fierce,
a dragon is very tough,
and when he breathes out orange fire,
his smoke comes out in puffs.

His scales are shiny green,
they make a rattling sound,
his teeth go chomp,
his tail goes thump,
as it hits upon the ground!

Waddle away, Come back penguins,
Time to play.

Six Little Penguins
Their suits are black and their vests are white.
They waddle to the left and they waddle to the right.
They stand on the ice and they look very neat,
As they waddle along on their little flat feet.

Rhyme:

Six little penguins off an iceberg did dive,
One bumped his beak, then there were five.

Five little penguins swam the ocean floor,
One saw a whale, then there were four.

Four little penguins spun around, whee-ee!
One spun off, then there were three!

Three little penguins, with nothing to do,
One went fishing, then there were two.

Two little penguins, having lots of fun,
One fell off, then there was one.

One little penguin, when the day was done,
Went home to sleep, then there were none.

I do not make a sound.
Shhhh!

Rub your tummy
Sit so still
