Songs & Rhymes

Rhyme:

Fuzzy, wuzzy caterpillar
Creeping, creeping, creeping.
Spins himself a blanket,
Now he’s sleeping, sleeping, sleeping.

Fuzzy, wuzzy caterpillar
Wakes up by and by
Spreads his lovely wings
He’s a beautiful butterfly.

Then before we can fly we have to dry our wings by gently flapping them up and down

Rhyme:

 Five pretty butterflies,
watch them float and soar,
One stopped to have a drink,
then there were four.

Four pretty butterflies
among the sweet peas
One stopped to rest a bit,
then there were three.

Three pretty butterflies
look for morning dew,
One stopped for nectar sweet,
then there were two.

Two little butterflies
out to have some fun,
One flew away and hid,
then there was one.

One pretty butterfly,
missing all his friends
Flew away to find them,
and that’s how this rhyme ends.

Song: A BUTTERFLY CAME FLYING BY

(Tune: “The Mulberry Bush”)

A butterfly came flying by,
Flying by, flying by.
A butterfly came flying by.
Oh, what a sight to see.

It landed on a garden flower,
Garden flower, garden flower.
It landed on a garden flower,
And waved its wings at me.
