Song: The Waves on the Sea
(tune: Wheels on the Bus)

The waves on the sea go up and down,
Up and down, up and down,
The waves on the sea go up and down
All day long.

Additional Verses:

The shark in the sea goes snap snap snap..

The fish in the sea go swish swish swish..

The crabs at the beach, crawl back and forth..

The jelly fish go wibble, wobble, wibble…

Rhyme: 5 Little Seashells

5 little seashells washed up on the shore,
Along came a wave and then there were four.

4 little seashells happy as could be,
Along came a wave and then there were three.

3 little seashells all shiny and new,
Along came a wave and then there were two.

2 little seashells lying in the sun,
Along came a wave and then there was one.

1 little seashell left all alone,
Put it in your pocket and take it home.

Rhyme:

One 1, two 2, three 3, four 4, five 5,
Once I caught a fish alive.
Six 6, seven 7, eight 8, nine 9, ten 10,
But I let it go again.
Why did I let it go?
Because it bit my finger so.
Which finger did it bite?
This little finger on the right.

Activities:

We did a felt board story of A House for Hermit Crab by Eric Carle
We used puppets for I’m A Shark by Bob Shea

We danced with fish shakers

We played on the obstacle course and had fun with the parachute.
