 Songs & Rhymes

Song: The Robot’s Song
(sung to The Wheels on the Bus)

The arms of the robot swing up and down
Up and down,
Up and down,
The arms of the robot swing up and down,
All day long.

The legs of the robot move back and forth,
Back and forth, back and forth,
The legs of the robot move back and forth,
All day long.

The head of the robot moves side to side…

The buttons on the robot blink on and off…

The voice of the robot says beep, beep, beep…

Rhyme:

I am a robot big and strong (Pretend to walk like a robot)
Watch me as I walk along
My head turns left,
My head turns right (turn head)
Both my eyes shine big and bright!
Push this button (point to belly)
I will say “How are all my friends today?”
Push this button (point to nose)
“I am doing very well!”

The library has many of the books and music we use in our storytimes in the collection, so you can check them out and use them at home. We also get resources from MelCat, our inter-library loan system. For help finding these materials, stop by the Youth Desk.
