Movement Rhyme: Stretch

First you stretch high
Then you stretch low
Next you stretch wide (arms wide)
then you stretch narrow. (arms in)
Stretch to the left
then stretch to the right
Stretch really fast (fast arm circles)
then stretch really slow (slow arm circles)
Everybody wave hello (hello!)
Show me a smile
and now we’re ready to go!
Let’s begin our story time show.

Action Song: Hands

Hands upon your head,
Hands upon your head.
Up and down and up and down,
Hands upon your head.
Hands upon your face,
Hands upon your face.
Up and down and up and down,
Hands upon on your face.
Hands upon your ears. . .
Hands upon your Knees

Action Rhyme: Monster Stomp

If you want to be a monster, now’s your chance.
‘Cause everybody’s doing the monster dance.
You just stamp your feet, wave your arms
(Stomp, wave arms.)
Stretch ‘em up, stretch ‘em up, (Stretch up arms.)
Then put them on the ground. (Put hands on the floor.)
‘Cause you’re doing the monster stomp. (Stomp feet.)
That’s right! You’re doing the monster stomp. (Stomp feet.)

Movement Rhyme: Two Little Feet

Two little feet go tap, tap, tap,   (tap feet)
Two little hands go clap, clap, clap.  (clap hands)
A quick little leap up from my chair,   (stand up)
Two little arms reach high in the air.   (stretch arms)
Two little feet go jump, jump, jump,   (jump)
Two little fists go thump, thump, thump.   (pound fists)
One little body goes round and round,   (twirl around)
And one little child sits quietly down.   (sit down)
