Opening Song: Clap and Sing Hello
(tune: Farmer in the Dell)
We clap and sing hello,
We clap and sing hello,
With our friends at storytime,
We clap and sing hello!

We wave and sing hello,
We wave and sing hello,
With our friends at storytime,
We wave and sing hello!

We stomp and sing hello,
We stomp and sing hello,
With our friends at storytime,
We wave and sing hello!

Fingerplay: Sometimes
Sometimes my hands are at my side,
then behing my back they hide.
Sometimes I wiggle my fingers so.
Shake them fast, shake them slow.
Sometimes my hands go clap, clap, clap.
Then I rest themin my lap.
Now they’re quiet as can be.
Because it’s listening time, you see.

Song: Will Our Flowers Bloom?
(Tune: Wheels on the Bus)
The seeds from the pack go in the ground,
In the ground, in the ground,
The seeds from the pack go in the ground,
Will our flowers bloom?

The rain from the sky goes drip, drop, drip,
Drip, drop, drip; drip, drop, drip,
The rain from the sky goes drip, drop, drip,
Will our flowers bloom?

The sun above is bright and hot,
bright and hot, bright and hot,
the sun above is bright and hot,
Will our flowers bloom?

Our little seeds are sprouting fast,
sprouting fast, sprouting fast,
our little sees are sprouting fast,
Look! Our flowers have bloomed!

Finger Play: Dig A Little Hole
Dig a little hole (pretend to dig)
Plant a little seed (pretend to plant)
Pour a little water (pretend to pour)
Pull a few weeds (pretend to pull)
Chase a little bug (shoo with hands)
Heigh-ho, there he goes! (wiggle fingers away)
Give a little sunshine (arms circle over head)
Grow a little rose (smell flower)

Finger Play: Watch It Bloomstrong>
Here is a green leaf (hold out one palm)
And here is a green leaf (hold out other palm)
That, you see, makes two (hold up two fingers)
Here is a bud (cup hands together)
That makes it a flower
Watch it bloom for you (slowly open hands)

Finger Play: Here is a Beehive Them
Here is a beehive
Where are the bees
Hiding inside
Where nobody sees
They’re coming out now
They’re ALIVE!
1-2-3-4-5!
Bzzzzzzz Away they fly

Rhyme: Six Little Bumblebees
Six little bumblebees sitting on a hive
One flew away and then there were five

Five little bumblebees sitting on the floor
One flew away and then there were four

Four little bumblebees sitting in the tree
One flew away and then there were three

Three little bumblebees looking at you
One flew away and then there were two

Two little bumblebees sitting in the sun
One flew away and then there was one

One little bumblebee left all alone
He flew away, safe to his home

Closing Rhyme: Tickle the Clouds

Tickle the clouds.
Tickle your toes.
Turn around,
and tickle your nose.
Reach down low,
and jump up high!
Storytime’s over
so wave goodbye.
